ABOUT JASON

Based in Louisville, Kentucky, Jason Vaughn concentrates his practice on real estate and construction law.  He is licensed to practice law in both Kentucky and Indiana.  Already recognized as a leading real estate lawyer in Kentucky and Indiana, Jason opened the firm in 2001 in order to focus more on litigation.  He has gone on to represent major real estate lenders, real estate brokers, developers and title insurance companies.  However, he has also made sure to continue his representation of everyday individuals who may be confronted with litigation.  

Jason also regularly serves as a Mediator and Arbitrator for the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors, where he has been a Blue Ribbon Affiliate and formerly served as a member of the Board’s Forms Committee for twenty years. He also served ten years as outside General Counsel for the Kentucky Realtors.  

Service to his fellow members of the bar has always been one of Jason’s goals. He has served as Chair of both the Kentucky Bar Association and Louisville Bar Association’s Real Estate Sections. He has also served on the Member Services Committee and as Secretary/Treasurer of the Real Estate Section of the Kentucky Bar Association

Jason also serves as a Board Member and Fundraising Chair for APRON, Inc. The mission of APRON Inc. is to provide temporary, limited financial relief to professional food and beverage workers in the Louisville, KY metro area who work at locally-owned establishments and who are experiencing financial distress due to illness, accident, emergency, or catastrophic event through no fault of their own.

 In addition, he has been published in the South Carolina Journal of Law & Education, the KBA Bench & Bar Magazine and the Louisville Bar Association’s Bar Briefs.  Jason is often requested to be the featured speaker on real estate matters across the State of Kentucky, which averages more than twenty times a year. He has been a featured speaker for the Kentucky Bar Association, Louisville Bar Association, First American Title Insurance Co., the Lorman Institute, the National Business Institute, the Kentucky Realtors, the Greater Louisville Association of Realtors,  the Lexington-Bluegrass Association of Realtors, the Northern Kentucky Association of Realtors, the Murray-Calloway County Board of Realtors, the Madisonville-Hopkins County Board of Realtors, the Kentucky Barkley Lakes Board of Realtors, the Paducah Board of Realtors, the Realtor Association of Southern Kentucky, the Hopkinsville-Christian & Todd County Association of Realtors, the Heart of Kentucky Association of Realtors and various real estate brokerages across the region.  

Jason was born in Kentucky, and he lives in Oldham County with his wife, daughter and a household full of beloved pets.
